Beginning at a point approximately 600 feet west of the N ¼ Corner Section 31‑T86N‑R46W (west ramps of Interstate 29); then east through the north parts of Sections 31 (junction Interstate 29), 32 and 33‑T86N‑R46W; to a point approximately ¼ mile east of the NW Corner Section 33‑T86N‑R46W; then east following substantially the section line of Sections 33, 34, 35 and 36‑T86N‑R46W and Sections 31 and 32‑T86N‑R45W to a point approximately ¼ mile west of the NE Corner Section 32‑T86N‑R45W; then southeast through said Section 32 to the west corporation line of Hornick, connecting with an unnamed street.

Hornick:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the west corporation line; then southeast on unnamed street to the east corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 141 begins at a west ramp terminal of Interstate 29 approximately ½ mile south and one mile west of Sloan, and travels easterly, northeasterly, and southeasterly via Hornick and Smithland to the Woodbury‑Monona County line approximately 1 mile south and 2 miles east of Smithland, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 141 in Woodbury County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 141 in Woodbury County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 141 and its extensions in Woodbury County as follows:

Beginning at a point approximately 600 feet west of the N ¼ Corner Section 31-T86N‑R46W (west ramps of Interstate 29); thence in an easterly direction through the north parts of Sections 31 (junction Interstate 29), 32, and 33‑T86N‑R46W to a point approximately ¼ mile east of the NW Corner Section 33‑T86N‑R46W; thence in an easterly direction following substantially the section line of Sections 33, 34, 35, and 36‑T86N‑R46W and Sections 31 and 32‑T86N‑R45W to a point approximately ¼ mile west of the NE Corner Section 32‑T86N‑R45W; thence in a southeasterly direction through said Section 32 to the west corporation line of the City of Hornick connecting with an unnamed street.
